ABOUT US

Swag...everyone loves to receive it

Whether it be welcoming new hires into their dream job, thanking customers for their loyalty, celebrating a community milestone, or engaging event attendees, when done right, swag is the glue that bonds brands together with the people that matter to them. But no one enjoys putting this stuff together...

The $30 Billion branded swag supply chain is a complete mess, filled with too many products, too many intermediaries, too little quality control, and not enough technology.

SwagUp is disrupting the industry by streamlining the end to end supply chain and making it available through a single platform utilizing powerful APIs and interfaces (e.g. dashboard). As the fastest growing swag company, we have made great strides towards our mission of eliminating the friction in the swag creation and distribution process. BUT we’ve just begun to scratch the surface…

And that’s where YOU come in…

MISSION

We’re growing… fast! But we need help to make sure we’re making the right moves. Having a pulse on the financial health of the organization is critical to unlocking the kind of growth that we’re gearing up for. So, buckle up… ‘cuz this FP&A team is shaping the company’s future.

SwagUp is looking for a motivated, detail-oriented, critical thinking FP&A Manager to join our team. Our high growth means we need someone who can think end-to-end about the impact that our strategic, operational and financial choices may have on the organization as a whole. This is an opportunity to partner with and provide real, actionable insights to the C-Suite and Department heads as they plan their next move.

As part of a growing FP&A team, the Manager of FP&A will report to the FP&A Director and will assist in setting up key SOPs to support critical decisioning and change management, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of forecasts and budgets, tracking performance, assisting in strategic analyses, optimizing costs, managing a team of FP&A analysts, and using analyses to assist in driving informed decision making.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build and maintain complex financial models to support the budgeting, forecasting and performance tracking of the company
  • Work closely with the FP&A Director and CFO to report on and own the monthly financial management and KPI reporting of the organization including, but not limited to, revenue & expense projections, cash flow forecasting, and contribution margin tracking
  • Assist the FP&A Director in the drafting, roll out, and championing of frameworks for annual strategic planning, financial budgeting and capital decision-making, including identifying key forecast drivers, investment criteria, calculation methodologies, tracking and actualization, and revenue and cost allocation principles
  • Develop strategic value-added analyses around growth opportunities, expense optimization, and core business metrics to unlock growth, optimize processes and drive better decisions and results
  • Partner with various departmental teams (Sales & Marketing, Supply Chain, Product, Engineering, etc.) to develop and model key business driver assumptions, understand the issues facing their operations, gain insight and knowledge that could affect forecasts, and perform analyses to provide data-driven insights for decision-making
  • Prepare one-off and recurring presentation decks for senior level executives as well as for company-wide all-hands meetings
  • Manage a potential team of one to six direct reports as the FP&A function expands to support the organization’s needs
  • Support ad hoc requests for various initiatives, including strategic option feasibility analyses, proforma forecasts, ROI analyses, and other ‘what-if’ type scenario and sensitivity analyses

REQUIREMENTS

  • 6+ years experience in Consulting, Corporate Finance, Strategy or equivalent quantitative roles
  • Advanced level of proficiency in Excel, experience in preparing complex and dynamic driver-based financial models and manipulating large datasets
  • Deep familiarity with financial statements and management accounting. Corporate finance principles and investment evaluation metrics is a must
  • Experience with investment decision frameworks is a bonus, including business case development, balanced scorecard techniques, investment road-mapping etc.
  • Prior experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI, Looker, etc.) and data management and manipulation (SQL, Alteryx, etc.) is a strong plus
  • Intellectually curious, proactive in your approach to learning and execution, and a creative problem-solver
  • Excellent communicator with experience distilling complex information into easily understandable narratives for our cross-departmental partners, including those who are not quantitative or technical
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team environment, including managing, reviewing and providing feedback on the work of direct reports
  • Strong work ethic and an acute attention to detail required
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately on multiple projects in a fast paced environment
  • CPA and/or CGMA designations preferred

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

  • Proactively reporting on critical KPIs, decisions or issues which may significantly impact forecasts or outcomes, while updating performance reports to document variances
  • Assisting in key cost savings initiatives via various analyses of proposed operational efficiencies, economies of scale, and strategic alternative feasibilities
  • Providing the C-Suite and departmental partners with accurate, constant and timely information necessary to support strategic operating decisions and identify risks to meeting the annual targets or opportunities for growth and/or course correction

  • Wake up each morning proud of the place you work and the amazing companies you get to partner with
  • Join the team at a time when you can help shape the future of the company
  • Unlimited PTO, we are all adults, you’re in control
  • Medical, Dental, Vision and Life insurance
