Request was born when we discovered a $478.3 billion problem. Both the money transfer, and bookkeeping industries exist because of inefficiencies in the global financial system. The siloed banking system leads to slow and costly international money transfers. The complex tax system forces entrepreneurs to spend up to 50% of their administrative expenses on bookkeeping and auditing services alone, just to calculate how much they owe in taxes, on top of that.
At Request, our mission is to connect fragmented financial systems to create more efficient and inclusive economies. To achieve this, we built a completely decentralized and open network for transaction requests.
We are a team of builders, with a community that has been following, and building the project with us since 2017. We believe this approach will bear the best fruit in the long run. Our users, community members, entrepreneurs, partners, and core team are building solutions towards this mission. We are in it for the long run, and not short-term shills.
We are proud to have been working together as a team in the blockchain space since 2014, building towards this mission. And we want to keep working this way together with our partners and community. In just over a year, Request has processed over $144m in crypto payments and supports 40+ cryptocurrencies and stablecoins, 9+ fiat currencies, and 10+ blockchains. Over the next few years, Request will continue to connect thousands of businesses, regardless of country or currency.
WE BUILD THE FUTURE OF INVOICING AND BUSINESS
Our core technology is an open-source protocol. It allows transaction records to be easily stored and accessed on the blockchain. This network gives different financial systems a shared language with which to communicate.
On top of this, we are building Request Finance, a crypto-friendly invoicing application serving +900 companies, DAOs, and freelancers of the Metaverse, NFT, and crypto industries, such as The Sandbox, Aave, MakerDAO, and The Graph.
